Bichlien Tran (Bic-le-an) or simply just call me Lien 🙂
I graduated from the University of Texas in 2005 with a BA in Psychology, and minor in Business. Immediately after graduation I worked for a private company CARD, Center for Autism and Related Disorders, as a 1:1 therapist with autistic children.  Having discovered my passion to work ‘hands on’ in directly helping people, I returned to school in 2009 and graduated from the Texas Healing Arts Institute 500 hour program. In May of 2011, I completed an additional 290 hours of clinical massage therapy training. Â
I thoroughly enjoy exploring the ways the human body is capable of moving, the complexities of the human brain, and how those two are connected. Continually working towards expanding my knowledge and realm of experience with the human mind, body, and spirit, I am currently a certified K-tape practitioner, Level 2 Pilates Instructor, Level 3 Pranic healing energy worker, and most recently, a Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) Mobility Specialist. Â
Utilizing my personal discoveries on my own health and wellness journey, this helps me relate better with my clients and to pay it forward with my first hand knowledge and experience. My background as a dancer and athlete with ballroom dancing, running, circuit training, powerlifting, boxing, Pilates, yoga and acroyoga, pole fitness, sand volleyball, and rock climbing, have all challenged and expanded my knowledge of body mechanics and movement in various ways. Â
My methodology is approaching the human body from a postural perspective, treating a variety of conditions and addressing specific pain complaints by working with the alignment of the body. First, I conduct a Posture and Mobility Assessment and Muscle Strength testing to identify strength and flexibility imbalances. I then use integrative clinical massage techniques (Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Postural/Gait Analysis, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and AIS Stretching) to release tension in the muscles and joints. From there, I customize a training program for individual needs to work towards a more balanced lifestyle in all areas. We will discuss areas of nutrition, hydration, and lifestyle habits and how that affects mental and physical health.
My goal as a health practitioner is to be a facilitator at the most fundamental level, and to educate and coach clients in areas of nutrition, mindset, self-care, range of motion, and mobility/stability training. I am here to customize a wellness program to improve overall quality of health and wellness. The goal is not only pain and injury prevention, but to improve your understanding of your own body and to unite the mind and body into a state of wellbeing to accomplish your health and fitness goals for longevity.Â
Thank you for choosing me to be your facilitator and I look forward to working with you!
